Alright, so I am pretty proud of this accomplishment. I hate talking about myself and giving myself praise but this last weekend I did something I honestly wasn't sure would ever happen in my life. I signed up to run the relay in the Ogden Marathon. I was signed up with 3 other girls. There was 5 legs so that puts one girl running the last two legs, which is about 7 miles. I was going to do the first leg and thought if I felt good after that leg I would continue to run with the second leg. Courtney and I both started together at the starting line, we completed the first leg and continued on the second leg. The second leg ended at the half marathon starting line. When we hit the half way point (13.1 miles) my dear husband was there to meet me, or cheer me on if I could continue:) I felt pretty good and so I decided to hand the baton off to our next team mate (Jansi) but continue running. Courtney's knee was hurting so she decided half was enough (I should have done the same). I felt good until I came to mile 18-19. This was in the middle of the only real incline of the course. Jansi, she had the baton now and was feeling fresh so I told her to go ahead and don't wait on me. I kept trucking along, walking and stretching my legs occasionally. My knees and hips started aching and my knee I had surgery on a couple yrs ago started to really hurt. I came to the waterfall and was so glad to see that, means I am almost out of the canyon. I was soo happy to see ogden and no more mountains and especially my dear husband again who was cheering me on. I was so ready to quite but only had 3.1 more miles to go, I couldn't stop. These last few miles were the LONGEST miles I have ever experienced. Courtney had jumped back in to finish the last few miles with me(Thank you Courtney). I slowly crossed the finish line and it hit me, that I had just completed a FULL marathon. My mom, aunt, grandparents and of course my biggest fan Jon were at the finish line, waiting. I love you Jon!!!!! First words out of my mom's mouth was, what possessed you to continue running, haha. I don't know, guess my competitive nature:) Sorry for the long post but this was an amazing experience and it made it even sweeter that I had only trained to run 7 miles. The longest I have ever ran in my life is 8-10 miles. My body is definitely letting me know that it hates me for this

Courtney and I at the half way point (13.1 miles) We had to carry that huge baton the whole time
Handing my shirt off real quick and I was able to snag a kiss from Jon:)
This was right out of the canyon. Around 3 miles left to go. Almost dead
FINALLY!!!! I couldn't believe I made it. So tired and sore:)
You should be super proud! That is so awesome!! I can't even run half a mile without getting winded :) Way to go Lins!!
